Privacy Policy

      Your privacy matters. FitsAI is a personal wardrobe app — your photos and style data are yours. We do not sell
      your data to third parties.
    

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use FitsAI:

Wardrobe photos — images you upload of your clothing items. These are stored on your device and optionally backed up to our secure cloud storage.
Style preferences — answers you provide during onboarding (style identity, occasions, goals, etc.) used to personalise your experience.
Account information — if you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID name and email address (subject to your Apple privacy settings).
Usage data — how you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used) collected anonymously to improve the product.
Purchase information — subscription status managed by RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

To generate AI outfit suggestions and wardrobe analysis using your photos and preferences.
To sync your wardrobe across reinstalls via your account.
To personalise onboarding and recommendations.
To manage your subscription and verify active access.
To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve the app (no individual profiling).

4. AI and Image Processing

When you add a clothing item, your image is sent to our background removal service (hosted on Google Cloud Run) to isolate the garment. The processed image is then analysed by our AI service (OpenRouter / Qwen models) to automatically tag the item. Images are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and are not retained by third-party AI providers beyond the duration of the request.

5. Third-Party Services

FitsAI uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

Firebase (Google) — authentication and cloud storage. Privacy policy
RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy policy
PostHog — product analytics (anonymised event tracking). Privacy policy
OpenRouter / Qwen — AI inference for outfit generation and item tagging.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your wardrobe photos are stored on your device and, if you are signed in, in Firebase Storage under your unique user ID. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account from within the app (Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account), all your data — including wardrobe photos, fitboards, and account information — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

FitsAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data (use the in-app "Delete Account" feature or email us).
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
Data portability (receive a copy of your data in a structured format).

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our infrastructure providers are based. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
